Hardy to Zones 10 to 12, commonly grown as a potted plant and kept indoors or brought in for the winter.
(Horseshoe Jade, Spoon Jade, Gollum Plant, Gumby Jade ) Perennially cute, the plant produces, in time, a rubbery stalk which upholds multiple upright, succulent, bright green leaves that are characteristically indented at the top. Give standard Cactus culture. The plant does fine in a pot of fast-draining soil, indoors on a windowsill, or in a greenhouse or summer patio. Water sparingly, more in summer, almost no water in winter, and protect from frost. We give a really nice jade plant these days.
